Code

This is the code I usually start with:
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Document Title</title> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <meta name="description" content="Content Description"> <meta name="keywords" content="any, keywords, you, want"> <meta name="author" content="Ikaros Kappler"> <meta name="date" content="2015-04-22"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="css/styles.css"> </head> <body> </body> </html>

Version with Favicons

Due to sympli.io there are at least three favicon sizes required to cover most browser formats. Also place a facicon.ico (16x16) in your public root for browsers that try to access that file even if it's not linked in your document.
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Document Title</title> <meta charset="UTF-8" /> <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.png" type="image/png"> <link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-16x16.png" sizes="16x16"> <link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-32x32.png" sizes="32x32"> <link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-96x96.png" sizes="96x96"> <!-- Apple Touch Icons --> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="older-iPhone.png"> <!-- 120px --> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="180x180" href="iPhone-6-Plus.png"> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" href="iPad-Retina.png"> <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="167x167" href="iPad-Pro.png"> <meta name="description" content="Content Description"> <meta name="keywords" content="any, keywords, you, want"> <meta name="author" content="Ikaros Kappler"> <meta name="date" content="2015-04-22"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="css/styles.css"> </head> <body> </body> </html>
